What is Coiled Sucker Rod?
In a pumping oilwell, a sucker rod string connects the down-hole pump to the drive equipment at the surface. Traditionally, this has been accomplished using twenty-five foot joints of rod with a coupling required to connect them.
Coiled Sucker Rod is manufactured as one piece with only two couplings; one at the top and one at the bottom. The side load is spread over the entire length of the rod string, virtually eliminating holes in tubing.

Slick Rod System's coiled sucker rod is ideal for: |
• deviated, slant or directional wells to reduce rod/tubing wear
• vertical wells with high operational speeds to reduce rod/tubing wear
• high viscosity and/or sand production to eliminate flow restriction past couplings
• wells with small tubular requiring larger diameter rod
• thermal wells eliminating rod fall |
